World of Outlaws Fast Talkers: Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway

Mechanicsburg, PA--July 22, 2009--The "Month of Money" continues for the World of Outlaws at the famed Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 for the annual Summer Nationals, with the finale worth $20,000 to the winner. The series has raced just once at half-mile this season back in May, and the Summer Nationals will be the second of three separate visits to the historic track this season for the series. Donny Schatz, the three-time and defending series champion, has won each of the last two Summer Nationals main events. Recently all the full-time World of Outlaws drivers shared their thoughts on returning to Williams Grove Speedway for the Summer Nationals.

Craig Dollansky, Driver of the No. 19 DirecTV Maxim: "Last year we had a really good car there and came up just a little bit short running second to Donny (Schatz). It's another one of those races that we would definitely like to get a win in. The Summer Nationals is a good paying show and there is a lot of competition out there as well. We have a good race team here with this Kasey Kahne team and hopefully we can go in there and get the job done."

Brian Ellenberger, Driver of the No. 22 Ti-22 Performance J&J: "That is a tough place, with a lot of tough local cars that run out there. It's a different race track all together. That's a good place to gauge how your team is doing and how you are running. I always look forward to going out there actually. We haven't run that well there lately, but I know I can run good at that track and compete. That will be a good test for us."

Sam Hafertepe Jr., Driver of the No. 15H G-H Plumbing J&J: "All of these big tracks we have been going to lately, we have been running good at. Williams Grove is definitely one place you want to be running good at when you get there and I feel like we are ready for it."

Jac Haudenschild, Driver of the No. R19 Owens-Corning Fiberglass Maxim: "At Williams Grove you have all the Pennsylvania guys that run good and it's a hard place to win at. It's a hard track and they have all the good guys up there racing and the Outlaws. It's a tough place and we would really like to win up there."

Kraig Kinser, Driver of the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops Maxim: "I hope we do better than we did last time there. We got beat up pretty hard last time we were up at the Grove. If we can get a few more laps in there, hopefully we can start running with the PA Posse over there."

Steve Kinser, Driver of the No. 11 Quaker State Maxim: "I've always enjoyed running Williams Grove. It was tough for all of last time we were there. Let's hope we all fare a little better than what we did in the last trip there. It was one of those nights where they had a lot of rain and the track was heavy and we all went out and missed it in qualifying a little bit and that put us in a pinch."

Danny Lasoski, Driver of the No. 6 Casey's General Store Maxim: "I hope our summer is much better than our spring, because we missed the show there. We want to go back and redeem ourselves. That is Barry Jackson and JEI's home track. Hopefully we can do good up there this time around."

Jason Meyers, Driver of the No. 14 GLR Investments KPC: "Williams Grove is a place that is very unique, but it's also very consistent. I feel that we have had a pretty good race car probably the last six or seven times that we have been there. We just haven't had the starting position that we have needed. I'm really looking forward to getting out there. Qualifying is everything out there. You have to get qualified and have a good starting position to be a contender. We're concentrating on that and there is no other place we would like to get a win more at, than Williams Grove, especially with Charlie Garrett (Engine builder) being from out there. We have tested there this year and we're working hard on it and looking forward to getting out there."

Joey Saldana, Driver of the No. 9 Budweiser Maxim: "Since I've been in the Kasey Kahne car, it seems like we have only had one really good night where I felt like we had a shot at winning the race there. It seems like we struggle with our car, or motor or myself there, I don't know. It's a tough track and it's a track that is dictated on your pill draw. Hopefully that doesn't hurt us too bad and we can put ourselves in a position to do well and work on our car and be there at the end."

Donny Schatz, Driver of the No. 15 Armor All J&J: "Williams Grove is one of my favorite places to go and the Summer Nationals are another of those big races. If you hit a couple of those, bang, bang, bang, it's big for a driver. I just grit my teeth when I get to that place, I just love going there. The Outlaws got their hind end handed to them there last time we were there qualifying and pretty much racing. We have our work cut out for us when we get there and we are all ready for that. Hopefully we can be a little better this time."

Jason Sides, Driver of the No. 7S Wetherington Tractor Service Maxim: "It is tough as far as the track goes. It will probably be a little more dry than when we were there in the spring. Qualifying is such a big deal there and we usually have more than 40 cars there so it will be one lap qualifying. If we draw an early number, it will be a good night. If not, it will be a struggle from there on out."

Lucas Wolfe, Driver of the No. 5W Allebach Racing Maxim: "We haven't run there much in the last year or so, so I am really looking forward to getting back there, especially since we lost the one Outlaws show to rain there earlier this year, along with the injury last year that forced us to miss a couple races there. To go back home and get a full weekend in would be very good."
