OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (April 15, 2003) - Tulsa's Shane Stewart enters this weekend's World Of Outlaws double at Ohio's Eldora Speedway riding a wave of momentum, as he extended his string of strong runs by notching two more top ten finishes in WoO competition this past weekend in Missouri. Shane's consistent strong runs are paying dividends, as he has climbed to a sturdy sixth place ranking in World of Outlaws points.
Shane piloted Scott Chilcutt's mIn Motorsports Management/Express Transit Wesmar-powered MCI to a ninth place finish at Sedalia's State Fair Speedway on Friday night, then improved upon his tenth starting position to notch a seventh place finish at Pevely's I-55 Raceway on Saturday night.
With yet another pair of top ten finishes, Shane has now recorded top ten showings in ten of the last eleven World of Outlaws main events aboard the Cox Communications/Pro Lube Center Hoosier-shod machine. Only Danny Lasoski, with eleven top-tens, and point leader Steve Kinser and Craig Dollansky, each with ten top-tens in main event action, have been able to match Shane's rate of consistent top ten showings in WoO competition.
With Brodix, Sander Engineering, Penske Shocks, B&B Oval Products, HRP Wings, Banshee Graphics and Schoenfeld Headers also sponsoring the Oklahoma-based #4m team, Shane carries his string of strong finishes into this weekend's World of Outlaws action at the ultra-fast high-banked Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH.
Shane, along with crew team Rob Hart and Cathy Barrows, expect another strong weekend in WoO competition, as they look to crack the top five in World of Outlaws points.
Already with 26 nights of racing under their belt at nine different states from Florida to California and numerous points in between, Shane and the #4m team will compete in more than 100 events throughout the country this season. Shane's complete 2003 schedule and up-to-date results are available at www.min-motorsports.com.
