Shane Stewart Eyes Eagle Nationals

(June 16, 2005) -- With the World of Outlaws Sprint Series in full swing, Rookie of the Year contender Shane Stewart of Bixby, OK, and the Rudeen Racing powered by mIn Motorsports No. 26 team soar into this weekend's 22nd Annual Eagle Nationals at Nebraska's Eagle Raceway.

Following a busy stretch of racing through the eastern portion of the country and then into Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana, Shane is holding strong in the World of Outlaws Sprint Series points at 12th aboard the Wesmar-powered Snap-on Maxim.

Shane enters this weekend's Eagle Nationals with three top-ten feature finishes aboard the HRP Wings/Schoenfeld Headers/XYZ Machining mount in the series last four feature events, including a strong drive from 20th to ninth in Tuesday night's Kokomo Speedway run.

Other recent top tens for the Car & Fleet/Brodix/Banshee Graphics entry include a seventh-place finish at Wisconsin's Sheboygan County Fair Park and a ninth place run at the famed high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH.

Through 32 World of Outlaws Sprint Series features contested thus far in 2005, Shane has finished among the top-ten half the time with 16 top-tens.

This Friday and Saturday's Eagle Nationals kicks off a busy stretch of racing through the Midwest for the Rudeen Development team, with Sedalia's Missouri State Fair Speedway on tap for next Wednesday night followed by a Friday-Saturday double at Iowa's Knoxville Raceway.

The following Tuesday night, June 28, the team moves on to Huset's Speedway in Sioux Falls, SD, before taking to Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo, ND, on July 1 and 2.
