Smith Racing Acquires New Associate Sponsors SAN JOSE, CA (February 11) - Wix Filtration Products Division of the Dana Corporation and Kool Racing Products has announced a joint associate sponsorship with Stevie Smith for the 1999 Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series season. The Wix Filtration Products Division of the Dana Corporation has a new patented synthetic filter media proven superior over five other medias. In conjunction with Kool Racing Products, it has developed a superior filtration system for sprint cars, midgets and modifieds. Kool Racing Products specializes in air management outside the cylinder head and has developed ram tubes for all popular intake manifolds with impressive results in horsepower and torque curve gains. Bill Stanley and Mike Rhyne of the Wix Division, along with Jack Britton of Kool Racing Products, have proven superior results in air flow management and performance gains in their areas for NASCAR and all of the fuel-injected motorsports arena. Smith drove his #19 Ingersoll-Rand Black Bandit to victory in 13 Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series "A" Features last season while his father, Steve, received the Channellock Mechanic of the Year award.
