World of Outlaws Adds Sponsors, Increases Point Fund PLANO, TX (February 5) - With the additions of Carbone Industrie and AutoMeter Competition Instruments as sponsors, the World of Outlaws will offer more than $324,000 in point fund awards this year. This figure represents a 12.2% increase over the $285,000 the series rewarded at its awards banquet following the 1995 season. Teams ranking among the top 12 in the point standings will reap benefits from major sponsors U.S. Tobacco, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Vivarin and EcoWater Systems and contingency sponsors Brodix Heads, Maxim Chassis, MSD Ignitions, Shaver Specialties, Crane Cams, ProShocks, Weld Wheels and J&J Auto Racing. The championship team will be rewarded $100,000, with the runner-up receiving $50,000. Carbone Industrie, a manufacturer of carbon fiber brake systems, has set aside point fund rewards for teams participating in its contingency program. Teams using AutoMeter gauges will be eligible for its point fund contributions. Each contingency sponsor also rewards teams participating in its program at each Skoal Outlaw Series event. WoO
