Kaeding Runs 11th in Williams Grove Opener
MECHANICSBURG, PA (May 17) -- Tim Kaeding drove Woodward Racing's #2 Volcano Joe's Coffee Schnee into 11th place Thursday as the World of Outlaws opened a double-feature event at legendary Williams Grove Speedway.
Kaeding's 104.7-MPH qualifying lap was .329 seconds off fast-qualifier Lucas Wolfe's pace and 16th-fastest in the 55-car field. He earned a spot in the Crane Cams Dash by winning the Fourth Heat Race. The third-generation driver earned the privilege of starting the "A" Feature inside the fifth row by finishing ninth in the six-lap dash race.
Although he fell behind Kenny Jacobs, Todd Shaffer and Paul McMahan during the first three laps, Kaeding came back to claim his fourth top-11 finish in the five races he has run with Woodward Racing. Kaeding will drive the #2 Volcano Joe's Coffee Schnee until regular driver Brooke Tatnell returns from Australia.
