JWRC: C2 Junior Rally Norway leg two notes

Citroen Juniors continue their Nordic adventure...

Aaron Burkart/Timo Gottschalk (Citroën C2 Super 1600) and Shaun Gallagher/Clive Jenkins (Citroën C2-R2) had mixed fortunes today. The two C2 Junior Experience crews are nonetheless in the points at the end of leg two of the Rally Norway.

"Today was certainly an adventure for me. I started the day by going off on a slippery corner of SS9, where I think I was just too quick. Luckily some spectators pushed us out: in total I lost three minutes. I am annoyed with myself because this is exactly what I said I would not do today, but conditions were so difficult with so much loose snow that reduced the grip. I had no problems at all with the car today: the only difficulty I had was the windscreen misting up. With that and all the snow that was blowing across the road, you could only see for 10 meters in some places. Tomorrow we need to make sure we stay completely out of trouble and have solid points finish... "

Shaun Gallagher (Citroën C2-R2)
"I made some cha nges to the set-up last night but I think I went too far the wrong way. I wanted to make the car softer but today I found it was too soft : even in a straight line the back was wandering about a lot. With no time to make any major adjustments during the day, we suffered with that problem throughout the leg. The positive side is that we stayed out of major trouble on some very tricky stages. Today we've learnt a lot and we hope to continue that process on the final day tomorrow with a better set-up. These stages have opened my mind: they are quite amazing !"
