Meeke admits he has “no idea” about Citroen future
Citroen driver Kris Meeke admits he remains in the dark over his WRC future, despite ending 2015 on a high with second place in last weekend’s Rally GB.

Meeke finished 26 seconds adrift of world champion Sebastien Ogier in the Wales-based event to record his best finish since his maiden WRC win in Argentina, helping Citroen seal the runner-up spot in the manufacturers’ standings.
The result, the best for a home driver since Richard Burns’ victory in 2000, also elevated the Ulsterman into the top five of the drivers’ standings ahead of Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville.
“The objectives were set before for Citroen to hold second place in the manufacturers' Championship,” said Meeke. “We knew we had to do a good job to do that.
“Mads [Ostberg] is really strong on this event and we knew he would be this year, but when he made his mistake, that put more pressure on us. I really enjoyed it. I didn't actually feel pressure.
“As it stands, this is my last rally until I know more about my future. Then again, my whole career has been: last rally, last rally, last rally, so you tend to forget about it.”
Pressed further on when he expects confirmation from Citroen on his future, Meeke replied: “Honestly I have no idea.
“It's strange to say you haven't spoken to your team boss at this stage of the year, but that's the situation. I hope it becomes clear, but at this stage I have no idea.”
Better than Argentina
Meeke, who briefly led after Ogier got held up by Neuville’s stricken Hyundai i20 on SS12, only for the Frenchman to be credited with the time lost, added he felt his GB performance was stronger than his run to victory in Argentina.
“For me, in my own way, this was my strongest performance in the WRC to date,” said Meeke.
“Yes, Argentina was good, but we won when Volkswagen had many problems – here we were in second place from start to finish and we did some really good stage times.
“The first time I was nervous in Argentina and not comfortable all the time. But here it felt solid and calm, I need more weekends like that, but I need to sort out the future first.”
