Anja wins OMV Car-Design-Competition

o 12-year-old German prevails by 56,3 percent of all votes

o That means she'll visit the WRC-run in Germany from August 16 to 19

Family Beer from Furth near Nurnberg is delighted. Their 12-year-old daughter Anja decided the OMV rally car design competition in the finale of the three best entries in her favour. Her motif and two other designs had already been chosen out of over 240 competitors prior to the final online voting where she triumphed superiorly by 56,3 percent of all votes. Which means that Manfred Stohl will compete at the "ADAC Rallye Germany" in the OMV car with the branding of little Anja and that she and her whole family will visit the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team.

Start-finish-victory

The 12-year-old had already scored most points at the jury voting where the three favourites out of over 240 entries had been chosen. At the following internet voting it was a clear start-finish-victory for the young rally fan. Her prize: a visit to the tenth run to the FIA World Rally Championship, the ADAC Rallye Germany from August 16 to 19. Which naturally also means a visit to the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team. Moreover, Manfred Stohl will compete in this rally with the specially branded car.

Suggestions from the whole family

Anja has incorporated the topic "Move & Help" graphically. Balloons and chequered colours dominate the design. The extension of the slogan "Move & Help" on the hood is especially inventive and reads: Manni MOVE faster, Ilka HELP him. Anja: "The suggestions came from the whole family. I then transfered them into the design. I've been an absolute rally fan for quite a while and have already visited the Rally Germany and several national events. I really like this. Therefore it is a very special honour that Manfred will compete with my design on the car. I am very curious how it will look in reality on the car."

Rally under the sign of OMV Move & Help

During the season 2007 the drivers of the OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Team are involved in the international educational program OMV Move & Help. Each completed special stage kilometre is worth EUR 20 and benefits the OMV partners Caritas, SOS Children's Village and UNICEF. The money is used to support educational programs - including road safety - for over 35.000 children and youths in Europe and Pakistan.
