After a good preparation, marked by a podium on the Pirelli Rally in Tampere, Antony Warmbold and Gemma Price arrived at the Neste Finland Rally confident and sharpened. During the first special stages, they did good time close to Gilles Panizzi and Armin Schwarz's. But during the Special Stage 8, a failure on a suspension arm forced the Ford Focus WRC n°21 to retire prematurely. The mechanics could fix the car during the night and Saturday morning, thanks to the new SupeRally rule, Antony and Gemma could come back on the rally with only one goal: familiarizing themselves with these wonderful Finnish stages.

Antony Warmbold " the rally started quite well, the car was okay and we were very happy with our times which were close to what Janne Tuohino carried out here last year. Unfortunately, after a regular reception, I felt something really wrong on the suspension. We have to understand why this suspension arm broke like that, it does not come from a shock but probably from a micro-fissure on this part, which is normally quite sturdy.
