In spite of mechanicals problems, Antony Warmbold and Gemma Price were very satisfied to finish the Wales Rally GB in 10th position, first of the private Ford Focus drivers.

Antony and Gemma, 15th at the end of the first day of competition, were the first of the road during all the second leg. On still slippery roads, Antony, full off confidence, increased appreciably the rhythm. The German driver managed to widen the gap on his competitors. Too much careful, he lost a bite of time in the SS12, before knowing gear box problems. In order to fix the car, the M-Sport mechanics had to change the gearbox of the Ford Focus n21 during the last service of the day.

Sunday morning, Antony's car was working perfectly well, but on tricky stages, the young German couldn't find the good rhythm at the beginning of the day. One more time Antony went to the finish after a serious performance. Antony and Gemma crossed the line in 10th position, after an interesting battle with his predecessor.

Antony Warmbold: " Without our small mechanical trouble, it is sure that the result would have been better, but we are very happy, we show good things during this rally. The behavior of our Ford Focus is perfect. Now we are able to adopt a good rhythm during the entire rally and the gap by kilometers with the leader is closer and closer. "
