Today's leg of the Swedish Rally was too complicated due to warm weather as it was forecasted, which signed on the specific track of hard competition. Also today the high temperature made the gravel surface soft, which was partly changed into ice. The most snowy parts were at the longest, 52 km long S.S., which mixed the total results of the competition rapidly. The crew Jozef Bére? & Petr Starý finished in the 36th place in the total results after the 5th S.S.
Jozef Bére Jr. - The Driver: "We go exactly according to the instructions of the team management. We did not make any mistake. In spite of hard conditions, which enhanced deep rails we drove our speed. Nordic drivers are at home and they are very fast and the competition with them is very hard. We have been changing the adjustment and we try to drive more consistently."
Petr Star - The Co-driver: "We still drive our speed. We expected the similar position. If the forecasts come the truth and snow falls we will drive in the conditions like we drove last year. Today's situation is totally new for us and we had to accustom it. Although there is less snow on the track we missed the barriers, which helped us last year. Now if you make mistake you will certainly crash into a tree."
Marek Milhánek - The Head of the Team: "We changed the adjustment of the chassis. The comparison with Freddy Loix's data last year is similar in many parameters. We will evaluate data from computer this evening and we determine the tempo for the second leg. The car is all right after that day. We changed only a bumper."
