At the end of the first day, the 2 official Peugeots are in front. This was very important for them, since in Catalunya, Panizzi punctured a tyre due to all the rocks the WRCs thrown at the road. Tomorrow the Peugeots will be the first 2 cars on the road and so will find a clean road.
But anyway it seems they have been using the anti-puncture system (ATS, mousse). In Catalunya they didn't use it because it makes the car a little slower. Here they probably thought the safety was worth the cost. It seems that it is raining somewhat, which should give an advantage to the WRCs.
Sainz is making a great attack. I think for the first time this year he has reached the end of a day in front of the Subarus and Mitsubishis.
General classification after the 6 first stages.
