Action moved to the hills above Monza on Saturday morning, where drivers were welcomed by variable weather conditions and snow in the upper reaches of the stages. Having been handled a penalty late on Saturday night, Dani Sordo found his lead significantly cut, opening up a direct battle with Sébastien Ogier at the head of the field, whilst M-Sport’s Esapekka Lappi found himself falling back from his second place overnight.
