THIS ONE WAS NEW!

Since I started walking on my new legs I did a lot of things, that's right, but this one was still missing.

Last Sunday, on suggestion of some friends, I drove Niccolo, to clim on a specialized rock climbing gym close to Padua. It has been a good day out, my son and his friends had fun showing the defiance of danger typical of children. Then before coming back home I asked myself: "Who knows if I can climb as they do?!"

Well, the only possible verification was to have a go. The nice Andrea, manager of the gym, helped me to fit the harness, bound me to the security rope and then go.

The first grips were quite easy and, using the feet, the strength in my arms was more than enough to climb with relatively good agility. The climb is designed in a way to become more challenging as one gets higher, therefore the slope of the wall, after a first easy bit, becomes vertical and grips become smaller and more separated with each other.

Anyway, meter after meter I kept on climbing and I got on top of it!

I did not win anything else than the applause of people watching but it has been a nice experience and surprising as well. This is once again a proof that often in life it is enough to try and then, who knows, if we use to our best our capacities, the final result can even go beyond our expectations.

I just wanted to tell you this. Now I leave you because here the weather is good, I have the luck of no impending commitment and therefore I get on my Evro and I go to run a few km since Venice Marathon is at the doorstep... ciaooooo
