Brands Hatch: Alex Zanardi weekend summary

I EARNED MY HOLIDAYS!

Dear Friends,

I cannot say to be really psyched up but I think today it went fairly well! In race one I was constantly lapping on good times and, thanks to some others' misfortune I managed to get up to a fourth position that widely paid off my expectations.

Race two has been decided at the start: my team mate has been very skilled and I managed to overtake a couple of rivals up to the third position that I kept till the chequered flag, earning therefore my holidays.

At that point the party started in our box (while I was still in the cockpit!) to greet a double podium that has been harvested thanks to the commitment of everyone in twisting around a situation that after free practice saw us in a little bit of difficulty.

The team has grown up a lot since the beginning of the year as the recent result show. This is a season that is being a bit steep of BMW but this did not prevent us from being competitive in several occasions. I have therefore to thank all my mechanics, engineers and all those people that with their work give me a car that often allows me to fight for important positions.

We have a summer break for one month now before the weekend of Oschersleben. if you are not already under the parasol I get the chance to wish you good holidays, otherwise it means that you got there earlier than me!
