Larini, Huff And Menu Lend Their Skills To Corvette Performance Academy 2009

ZURICH, 14th April 2008 - To help any Corvette owner to take full advantage of the C6's 437 BHP and Z06's 512 BHP, nothing can match driving it on a track to its limits, with the best mentors one can imagine: professional racing drivers. The fans of speed and sensations who want to learn more about their Corvette in a safe environment, will truly enjoy the 2009 Corvette Performance Academy, which will have three very special instructors: Nicola Larini, Rob Huff and Alain Menu. The three Chevrolet WTCC drivers will switch their Cruzes WTCC for the Corvettes for a few hours, to happily lend their skills and expertise to Corvette customers. They are themselves Vette's fans, as proven in 2007, when they brought their own Corvettes to the Monza WTCC event (picture).

Over a full day, the participants will be presented with an extraordinary range of experiences. The programme is full and admirably orchestrated by a team of professionals who are highly experienced in such matters. Given the great variety of track layouts and exercises, there will be no time to be bored, even for an instant. In a friendly yet serious atmosphere, challenging and beautiful circuits will be discovered which, be they the scene of intense battles among the sport's greatest champions or a little less famous, have all been chosen for the range of tests and technical difficulties they offer.

The Corvette Performance Academy will satisfy all types of drivers with two different levels. If for example, one appreciates cars of strong character but has limited ambitions as a racing driver or no experience on track, the Corvette Performance Training level 2 is best appropriate. Various techniques will be taught which will be of the utmost use in everyday driving. In addition, a rich fund of good advices and hints will without a doubt enhance safety on daily journeys at the wheel. With the participation of a Chevrolet WTCC driver, each level 2 participant will also get an unforgettable first experience on track with a promise: "You will drive really fast and safe at the end of the day!"

For any passionate about being pushed back in his seat by acceleration g-forces, braking as late as possible and defying the laws of cornering physics on four wheels, the Z06 Advanced training (Level 3) of the Corvette Performance Academy provides the chance to do so in the safest possible conditions.

Whatever tastes, the Corvette Performance Academy will give an unforgettable day to talk about to friends and acquaintances for a long time to come.

In 2009 the Corvette Academy days will take place on:

Wednesday, May 27th at the Geoparc (F) with Rob Huff
Tuesday, June 23rd in Dudenhofen (D) with Alain Menu
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, September 28th, 29th or 30th at the Hungaroring (H) with Nicola Larini.
