SEAT Sport back on top of the World

Following the two Brazilian rounds of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, SEAT Sport once again leads the Manufacturers' Championship, while the team's drivers hold 4 of the top 5 places in the Drivers' series. Jordi Gene and Peter Terting secured a 1-2 for the team in the day's opening race, with James Thompson, Gabriele Tarquini and Terting claiming valuable points in an incident-packed Race 2.

An uneventful start saw SEAT Sport drivers holding 2nd to 6th places, with Gabriele Tarquini and Peter Terting swapping places the only change to the qualifying positions. Two laps were spent behind the safety car after an incident at the back of the field, with Terting retaking 3rd place from Tarquini immediately after the restart.

Then, on lap 10, Jordi Gene passed the Alfa Romeo of Augusto Farfus to take the lead, with Peter Terting also swiftly overtaking the Brazilian driver to claim 2nd place. That was how it stood for the remaining 7 laps, with the chequered flag falling on another stunning 1-2 for SEAT Sport and a maximum 18 Championship points.
