While the championship leading Citroens will all carry 80kg for the sixth time this year, the Hondas will drop to their lowest weight since Slovakia.
This re-calculation was based on the Japanese manufacturer's performances in the last three events in Hungary, Morocco and Germany, with the average laptime of the best two Civics calculated as being half a second off the pace of the best two Citroens.
The Civics of the three factory drivers Rob Huff, Tiago Monteiro and Norbert Michelisz will therefore carry just 30kg of compensation weight, bringing the minimum weight of their cars down to 1,130kg, from 1,140kg during the last two events.
The three factory Lada Vesta WTCCs of Gabriele Tarquini, Hugo Valente and Nicky Catsburg will also benefit from the FIA's latest calculations and drop to 20kg of compensation weight at the manufacturer's home race.
The two Polestar Cyan Racing Volvo S60s and the privateer Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1s will all carry no ballast, with the cars all judged to be more than a second from the leading pace of the Citroen C-Elysees.
Moscow compensation weights:
Car | Gap | Ballast |
Citroen C-Elysee WTCC | 80kg | |
Honda Civic WTCC | +0.5s | 30kg |
Lada Vesta WTCC | +0.6s | 20kg |
Volvo S60 WTCC | +1.1s | 0kg |
Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 | +1.1s | 0kg |
