Hungary WTCC: Michelisz leads Honda 1-2-3 in testing

Hungarian Honda driver Norbert Michelisz headed a Honda 1-2-3 in the first test session of the FIA World Touring Car Championship weekend, at the Hungaroring.

Michelisz was 0.369 seconds faster than team mate Rob Huff and 0.724 seconds ahead of teammate Tiago Monteiro.

Chevrolet privateer Tom Coronel was best of the rest in fourth position, close to one second slower than Michelisz.

The fastest Citroen driver was Mehdi Bennani in fifth position, 1.2 seconds from the top time, with manufacturer colleague and reigning champion Jose Maria Lopez in sixth position.

Lada Sport drivers Hugo Valente and Nicky Catsburg finished seventh and eighth as Tom Chilton and Yvan Muller, rounded off the top ten.

Neither of the Polestar Cyan Racing drivers made it into the top ten, with Fredrik Ekblom in 12th position and Thed Bjork forced to remain in the pits after just two laps due to technical issues.
