16/11/2008 - The thrilling recovery from Alessandro Zanardi, started from the pits and culminated in the fifth place under the chequered flag of race two, marked the WTCC 2008 season's finale at Macau. In the first race, during the seventh lap, the Italian driver went off the right trajectory due to some debris on track and hit the barriers.

Troubled season ending for Felix Porteiro: after the fourteenth place harvested in a race one conditioned by brakes problems, the Spaniard could not take part to the second race due to an electric inconvenience that stopped him during the formation lap.

In the final classification Porteiro stands tenth at 51 points, while Zanardi is thirteenth with 36. In constructors' championship BMW concludes second at 274 points.
