Further to the Stewards' Decision following the race meeting in Marrakech, the FIA requested technical checks to be made on the maximum engine revs for both diesel and petrol-powered cars, as well as the maximum supercharged air pressure on diesel cars.
The results of these checks were submitted to the Stewards of the meeting for their consideration.
NINE DRIVERS' QUALIFYING TIMES DISALLOWED
Following the technical checks after yesterday's qualifying session, the Stewards decided to penalise the following competitors for exceeding the engine speed limit:
SEAT Sport n.1 - Yvan Muller : fastest lap time disallowed
BMW Team UK n.6 - Andy Priaulx: all lap times disallowed
BMW Team Italy-Germany n.10 - Sergio Hernandez: all lap times disallowed
Chevrolet n.11 - Alain Menu: all lap times disallowed
Chevrolet n.12 - Robert Huff: all lap times disallowed
Chevrolet n.14 - Nicola Larini: all lap times disallowed
SUNRED Engineering n.21 - Tom Coronel: all lap times disallowed
Proteam Motorsport n.23 - Felix Porteir all lap times disallowed
Wiechers-Sport n.27 - Stefano D'Aste: four fastest laps disallowed
Competitors were reminded of their right to appeal.
