New challenge for BMW Team Italy-Spain on a city track

04/07/2007 - After Pau's round, the World Touring Car Championship will be on stage this weekend on a city track. All is ready at Porto, in Portugal, to house emotions and twists of season's rounds 11 and 12.

Archived the winning weekend of Brno, BMW Team Italy-Spain men will aim again at the highest place of the podium, but this time ballast will work against them. Alessandro Zanardi will have in fact 10 kg on board his BMW 320si, while Felix Porteiro will have 30 handicap kilos.

"I am quite optimist to get this weekend what I did not quite get at Brno. I had the chance to see the track, it is a bit unusual to be a city circuit. The tarmac is very smooth and the circuit is wide, it is very different from Pau. Should we be fast in qualifying, the podium would be at ours grasp."
