Honda driver Monteiro took victory in the red-flagged race from Loeb, but was subsquently stripped of the win for failing a ride height check.
A WTCC statement read: ”Car 18 [Monteiro] failed the ground clearance check. The left hand side of the car was found to be below the required minimum 60mm ground clearance.”
It means Loeb inherits a fourth win of the season, with Citroen teammates Ma Qing Hua and newly-crowned champion Jose Maria Lopez promoted to second and third respectively.
It also means Loeb moves ahead of Yvan Muller into second place in the drivers' standings.
