Nagy, 18, was signed by Zengo for the 2016 season.

However, with only one of the team's two Honda Civics available, he was forced to skip the first six rounds of the season, as the team prioritised Nagy's teammate Ferenc Ficza.

Nagy took part in the final 10 races of the season, securing his best finish of 11th in the season opener in Qatar.

"I am really happy and I am preparing for my first full-time WTCC campaign with a lot of motivation," said Nagy, who became the RCM Cup champion in 2015.

"I am really emotional right now because I only recently received the news that Zoli [team boss Zoltan Zengo] will trust me with one of his cars this year as well."

"Thank you for everyone who helped me so far and I'll be trying to pay back the support with as many championship points as possible."

Nagy will race alongside junior single-seater graduate Aurelien Panis, son of former F1 driver Olivier, who was confirmed as Zengo's first driver in January.
