Audi, Porsche Drivers Join Radio Web Team for Sears Point Broadcast

SONOMA, Calif. (May 17, 2002) -- Drivers from Audi and Porsche teams will be special guests on the American Le Mans Series Radio Web Saturday as it broadcasts coverage of qualifying for Sunday's Grand Prix of Sonoma presented by Fosters at Sears Point Raceway.

As always, the American Le Mans Series Radio Web will offer an in-depth radio broadcast of the race that can be heard free online at www.imsaracing.net. Listeners simply have to log on to the website and click the Radio Web icon to hear the broadcast over their computer.

The race broadcast will be from 12 noon until 4 p.m. (U.S. Pacific time). After a one-hour pre-race show, the race starts at 1 p.m. The qualifying show will be from 2-4 p.m.

Audi Sport North America drivers Frank Biela and Tom Kristensen will join the Radio Web's announce team at 2 p.m. (PDT). Biela and Kristensen will offer their insight on the GTS and GT class qualifying as it is underway as well as answer questions submitted by listeners.

Sascha Maassen and Timo Bernhard, drivers for the Alex Job Racing Porsche team, will join the broadcast at 2:20 p.m. along with Petersen Motorsports driver Johnny Mowlem.

Questions for the drivers can be submitted through the American Le Mans Series website at www.imsaracing.net. John Hindhaugh, the voice of Radio Le Mans, will anchor the ALMS Radio Web broadcasts, joined by Jim Martyn and Joe Bradley.
