1998 Formula Dodge Eastern Regional Champion Josh Rehm recently fulfilled a goal in his quest to continue the climb up the motorsports ladder. On October 16th, Rehm tested a Toyota Atlantic car with Active Motorsports at Memphis Motorsports Park.
The full day of running saw Rehm's lap times steadily decrease as he became acquainted with the car and track. The positive results of this first test will likely lead to further tests with Active Motorsports for whom Rehm hopes to secure a ride in the 2001 series.
"I felt confident with the car and developed an immediate understanding with the car and the Active Team," said the 22-year old Rehm. "It provided a wonderful learning opportunity to acquire useful knowledge for the 2001 Toyota Atlantic season."
Active Motorsports team manger Daniel Incandela was also pleased by Rehm's performance.
"Josh made wonderful progress throughout the day, despite not being in a car for some time," said Incandela. "His feedback was equally impressive, calling for changes when he encountered handling problems. Active Motorsports is looking forward to more tests with Josh and hopefully the entire 2001 Toyota Atlantic season."
