Windham Takes First Win Since 2002

SPOKANE, Wash. (September 13, 2004) - IFMA Freestyle Motocross presented by XM Satellite Radio stunned the fans again for the fourth year in a row with the awesome array of tricks showcased at the Spokane Arena. The IFMA changed the format of the show for the Spokane fans, giving both the spectators and the riders something new to experience. The brand new format included a whip contest, doubles contest, best trick contest, and as always, the final round where each rider competes for ninety seconds.

Friday night, Dustin Miller was the first rider out of the tunnel, and ended the night being the last man sitting in the hot seat. Miller was taking down the competition by also winning Best Trick and the doubles competition with Jake Windham. Beau Bamburg took home the win in the whip competition despite the fact that he was riding injured.

Saturday night, Windham took home the trophy, his first win since 2002. Windham's technical run, which included the 75-foot backflip, was enough to edge out Miller by one-tenth of a point. Billy Walls shocked the fans in Spokane this weekend, taking fourth on Friday and third on Saturday night with his technical combinations. This is the second IFMA competition for Walls in 2004. Another highlight of Saturday night was Myles Richmond, who won the whip contest and also went home with a third place win on Friday and fourth place win on Saturday.
