Jean Theoret (Maple Grove, Quebec) was the second fastest boat, taking his Miss Beacon Plumbing to a speed of 151.777.
One more qualifying session will take place Saturday morning before the elimination heats start later in the afternoon. Racing continues with two sets of eliminations heats on Sunday with a winner take all final at 4:30 pm.
