CROFT ACTION FOR TEAM AON
Team Aon heads to the Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire this weekend for Round Five of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, looking to add more points to its 2010 tally.
With both Tom Chilton and Tom Onslow-Cole having secured victories this season, the team now sits in third place in the Teams championship with 119 points; just 34 points from the lead. The 2.25 mile Croft track is known for its demanding mixture of tight corners and long straights, which should suit the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) powered Ford Focus.
"Croft is a great track and the atmosphere there tends to be very special with strong crowds coming to support the series," said Team Principal Mike Earle. "Neither of our drivers have scored a victory at this circuit before and that is certainly something we're looking to change! Both of them are looking forward to the weekend and to continue this season's success rate.
"We're looking for a win at the very least and it would be nice to gain another pole position. There is a host of points available to take this weekend and we're aiming to secure a sizeable chunk by the time the Race Three chequered flag falls on Sunday evening."
