St. Paul, MN, March 24, 2005 -- Just one week before the Chicago Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis hosts their inaugural Workstream Inc. Hold'em Poker Tournament, the 28th Annual Spring Classic NASCAR event will be held at the Rockford Speedway. "We felt the opportunity was right to participate with Vadnais Racing and BoSPOKER.com as a natural pre-event promotion for our own April 9 event," said Carolyn Cronin, Executive Director of the Greater Illinois Chapter. www.cfholdem.com

Driver Josh Vadnais stated, "Our goal at this event is to increase awareness of CF and to distribute information on the upcoming Poker Tournament to Chicago land racing fans." Josh, the Midwest Series 2002 Rookie of the Year, is excited about Rockford, where he has always raced well. The Rockford race will be Josh's third consecutive start; he has never finished out of the top ten and was as high as fourth in last year's event -- missing out on a podium finish by only inches.

Of special interest are long-time fans and followers from the CF community, Matt Todd (who has CF) and his mother, Meg. They have followed Josh's career for the past nine years and will drive from St Paul, MN to support Josh, CF, and BoSPOKER.com at the Rockford race. Matt, a senior at Michigan Technological University, will graduate this spring with a degree in engineering.

The 28th Annual Spring Classic will commence the 58th season of racing at the Rockford Speedway on April 2-3, 2005. The highlight will be a 150-lap feature for the NASCAR AutoZone Midwest Elite Series. Saturday, April 2, will feature qualifying for the NASCAR AutoZone Midwest Elite Series, Mid-American Stock Cars, and the Big 8 Limited Late Model Series. Sunday, April 3, will have preliminary races and a 58-lap feature event for the Northern Late Models. Then the NASCAR AutoZone Midwest Elite Series will tackle the high-banked quarter mile paved oval with a 150-lap main event. Racing begins at 1:00 p.m.
