Dakar report 95-12-30

The single 4km speacial was conducted in deep mud with puddles in some places up to 40 cm deep.

Motorcycles: Fastest over the stage was World Enduro Champion Kari Tiainen, 5 sec. ahead of Italian Davide Trolli. Heinz Kinigaden suffered a set back on his KTM, fuel problems.

In the car section, the leading T3 prototypes were also lucky enough to finish the stage before heavy rain made the tracks even slippier. In the Mitsubishi-Citroen battle, honors were evenly spread. Bruno Saby was the fastest through the test and Pierre Latrigue was second but very spectacular with a side by side finish with the only woman driver in the event, Jutta Kleinschmidt.
