The "Drag Racing List Online" website has made the "Match Race Madness" drag racing computer simulation available for free to its online readers. The "racing fantasy game" remains in pretty much the same state as when it was written 13 years ago. There are no graphics--players see an "announcer's screen view" of each race. However, players can select any of 2,000 current drag racers in 22 different categories, then create their OWN car, and race against the stars and "leakers" alike at any of over 300 quarter and eighth mile tracks around the world. All the math works (margin of victory, etc.) and the more players race, the quicker they go. The game is zipped for quick downloading from the website. Match Race Madness is scheduled to undergo a much-needed facelift this year. Planned upgrades include realistic tuning and driving capabilities.
