1997 AMA/PROSTAR MOTORCYCLE DRAG RACING SERIES: Fact Sheet
WHAT: 3rd annual AMA Nationals, the second event of the 1998 AMA/Prostar Motorcycle Drag Racing Series tour.
WHERE: National Trail Raceway, Hebron, OH. Track is located of Interstate 70, exit Granville Road (route 37) and go north to U.S. 40 (National Road) and turn left. Proceed one mile, the track will be on the right.
WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, 1998
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
SATURDAY: Gates open at 7 a.m. Qualifying for some classes begin at 9:30 a.m, professional classes qualify at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
SUNDAY: Gates open at 7:30 a.m., elimination's for sportsman classes begins at 9:00 a.m., opening ceremonies and professional elimination's at 11:00 a.m.
FEATURE: More than 500 racers competing in the nine categories of competition. Featuring Funnybike, turbocharged two-wheeled rockets that run six-seconds in the quarter mile, nitrous oxide powered, Pro Mod Bikes, "factory hot rod" Pro Stock class, showroom stock the world famous streetbike shootout, and several other classes in side-by-side racing.
DEFENDING CHAMPIONS: Funnybike, Gary Clark; Pro-Mofidied, Tom Perry; Pro Stock, Paul Gast; Pro Superbike, Rickey Gadson; 600 Supersport, Keith Dennis; Top Gas, Jim Spadaro; Super Comp, James Teasley Jr.; Super Gas, Doug Emge.
TICKETS: $20 each day or $35 both days. Juniors, ages 2-12, $5 each day. Children, ages 10 and under, free when accompanied by a paid adult. Pit pass included in general admission price. AMA Members and groups, $15 each day with membership card.
