Thus, Laurent Aiello is the third driver that has been appointed by the manufacturer from Russelsheim for 2005. In addition to Aiello, Swiss Marcel F?ssler and Heinz-Harald Frentzen from the German town of Monchengladbach have already been announced as Opel works-drivers.
"I am really happy being able to continue our co-operation next year, because I am feeling really well within the Opel-team. The team members will do everything to be successful in the forthcoming season", Laurent Aiello says.
Opel motorsport director Volker Strycek: "I am happy with the continuation of our co-operation with Laurent Aiello. Both sides are highly motivated to do a good job and to achieve good results."
"Next to completing our driver line-up, we are now focussing on the development of our new race car. Preparations are going as scheduled, we will be driving our new car still this year."
