Zytek Customer Quickest in LMP2

Quifel-ASM tops timing sheets at season opener.

Le Mans Series LMP2 Team Champion Quifel-ASM finished fastest in class during the first day of testing for the opening round of the championship at Paul Ricard HTTT. Team Bruichladdich, which also runs a Ginetta-Zytek 09SB, finished the day fourth in class having spent the majority of the session in an impressive third place.

New Zytek LMP1 customer Beechdean Mansell Motorsport finished the day fourth overall, demonstrating the pace of the Ginetta-Zytek 09SB in LMP1 specification.

Zytek's customers have good reason to be optimistic for the first round of the 2010 LMS having been consistently quick over the first two practice sessions.

Today was the first time the new Ginetta-Zytek 09SB has run in full 2010 specification, complete with a new low drag aero package.

Said John Manchester, Operations Director, "Today's performance was very encouraging,. This is the first time the 09SB has been driven in anger, and to finish at the top of the timesheets at the first attempt shows a lot of promise for the rest of the season. Obviously the package is still in its infancy, and we know that there is still more pace to come but this is a solid start."
