Following qualifying, where Ivan Bellarosa demonstrated the speed of the Wolf by taking pole position, we were expecting a three-cornered fight between Norma, Ligier and Wolf. The Wolfs quickly disappeared and the Normas were oddly anonymous leaving Ligier to finally shine, putting two of its cars - number 11 and number 18 - at the head of the race.
