Bit of a tail-happy moment in that Red Bull as Verstappen rounds the opening corner. That manifests in an opening sector that's not his best.

Russell gets a great first sector, but he'll presumably lose time in sector two.

It's a 1m40.903s for Verstappen, so he's currently third. Norris does a session-best middle sector but can't improve!

Norris takes pole for the Belgian GP

Leclerc goes third fastest, and moves ahead of Verstappen!

Piastri improves but not by enough, and that means Lando Norris takes pole!

George Russell gets purple sectors in S1 and S3, but loses a ton of time in the middle part of the lap and goes fifth, but...

Alex Albon hurled his Williams up to fifth, which is a great effort. He got ahead of Russell for tomorrow's grid.

Final Q3 order

1. Norris
2. Piastri
3. Leclerc
4. Verstappen
5. Albon
6. Russell
7. Tsunoda
8. Hadjar
9. Lawson
10. Bortoleto

Leclerc: "I didn't expect it. We thought we were a lot more behind, we thought we had something more in the car with the upgrade, but it was a good lap.

It takes time to maximise those upgrades, there were some things we changed but not a lot, it's just about putting it all together. For sure, [McLaren's] race pace looked very strong this morning but hopefully with the changes we'll be closer in the main race."

Piastri: "Bit disappointing, yes, second lap was coming together well but I made a mistake at Turn 14 and lost a lot of time. Fine margins, not a bad place to be starting.

"[Lando and I] learn a lot from each other, we're a good pairing and that's what makes us a good team, but it's difficult when you're trying to fight each other. I just didn't execute when it mattered, so it's a bit of a shame."

Norris: "It was a decent lap. I'm happy. Everyone was pretty worried after yesterday, I wasn't even that far off, just a few little issues. Three tenths is just slipstream and not being first out of the pitlane! But people like to make a lot of things up..."

"The car's being flying, Oscar's done a good job all weekend and we've been pushing each other. It's a good but tough battle at the minute."
