Silverstone testing: Gilardoni starts to push hard
The preseasonal preparation of Kevin Gilardoni is continuing with consistent progresses. In the past days the Lombard driver, at his first season in Formula BMW Europe, got sensibly closer to the lap times of best drivers during Silverstone's tests, closer than what showed at previous tests of Barcelona and Monza.
Gilardoni has been consistently within the first fifteen best drivers and on the second day he has been long in the top ten. His best chrono was 1'52.4 and it is worth the thirteenth position, a definitely positive result for a rookie.
Kevin Gilardoni:
"I am extremely satisfied by the work done at Silverstone. I start to get acquainted with the single seater and I am starting to push for finding its limits: there is quite a lot of work still to do but we are definitely on the right way. I have a better feeling with tyres now and I manage to use them more and more. Also, the various setup regulations we tried out gave satisfactory results, this makes me confident for next tests at Nurburgring."
