EXCLUSIVE 422race.com: PERERA BACK IN GP2 WITH DPR
Franck Perera is back in GP2 Series. After three years in IndyCar Series and Superleague Formula, 422race.com can anticipate that the former DAMS driver will be finally back in GP2 from the next race in Nurburgring, with the DPR team.
The French particularly thanks the team owner: "I'm really happy about the chance Andrè Herck and DPR offered me to come back in GP2 after three years," he said to 422race.com. "I'll give my best to be competitive already in my first race, to bring the experience I made in several categories to the team and my team-mate Michael Herck."
Perera, former Toyota Young Drivers Programme driver, will partner the Romanian driver, son of the team owner, from the next race, replacing Giacomo Ricci who had raced with the David Price Racing team from the first race of 2009. After racing in America, Franck was back in Europe in 2008 with Superleague Formula from Estoril, after a long stop, with the AS Roma team, taking the pole at the debut.
