Archie Hamilton seeks BARC ride
Archie Hamilton is set to race in Formula Renault BARC for 2011. Having spent 2010 in Porsche Carrera Cup, British GT and Britcar, Archie is keen to get maximum track time and race experience with his available budget. He has secured the continued support of his 2010 sponsors Delaney and Duncan Hamilton Ltd. Archie will be testing over the next two months following which he will confirm which team he will drive with. If funds permit Archie also hopes to contest some rounds of the Le Mans Series.
Having raced in Formula Renault BARC in 2009 Archie knows that it is an ideal place to continue his learning and experience and his goal is to win the title. The slicks and wings car also prepares him for prototype racing which is important given his quest to ultimately win Le Mans.
Archie Hamilton:
"While I had a great time last season I have to face reality and make the most of the funding I have. I recognise that I'm in a very fortunate position as there are so many drivers out there looking for sponsorship in a very difficult financial climate. I know that Formula Renault is something that I'm comfortable with but still provides the challenge and this year I'm looking to learn and win and spend as much time out on track as possible. Formula Renault is my main focus to improve my race craft and if we can put together a Le Mans Series race deal later on in the season it will be a bonus."
