Australian motor sport's governing body, CAMS, has refused to allow homologation of Holden's new VR Commodore according to a front page article in this weeks Aust. Auto Action.

The contentious area is in the rear suspension which features longer upper arms said to give better traction out of slow corners. This was a weakness in the 94 cars. The move comes after several Falcon runners including Glen Seton voiced their disapproval at the new car claiming that it would damage the close racing seen throughout 1994.

CAMS have also announced that the new EF Falcon cannot run with the XR8 Quad headlight grille. The move to use the XR8 front was essentially a marketing move with Ford claiming no performance gains from the new setup. CAMS have decided to follow recommendations from entrants to limit technical changes to keep current cars competitive and to cut costs. -- Brett Ramsey
