DTC: Series announces 2008 schedule

Danish series will visit four different circuits over eight rounds

The coming edition of the Danish Touringcar Championship will consist of eight rounds to take part at four different circuits and in comparison to previous season a number of changes have been made to the calendar.

After a one year sabbatical the Danish Touringcar Championship returns to the most demanding circuit in Danish motor racing, Ring Djursland. In previous seasons the hilly and twisty circuit traditionally staged the first round of the latter half of the season in the middle of August, but next year Ring Djursland will holding round two of the Danish Touringcar Championship.

FDM Jyllandsringen will as ever start and finish the season, while Denmark's most popular race circuit will also be stating a meeting in June and August. The latter meeting has been moved three weeks forward from its traditional date during the first or second weekend of September to the third weekend of August.

Padborg Park will be hosting two rounds of the Danish Touringcar Championship -- Padborg Open just before the summer holiday break and the penultimate round of the series, Padborg Super Prix. Finally the Danish Touringcar Championship will having its annual visit to Sturup Raceway in the south of Sweden, this time during the first weekend of September.
