The Hong Kong Touring Car Championship uses the same points allocation system as the Formula 1 World Championship, ie. 10 points for a win; 8 for 2nd; 6 for 3rd; 5 for 4th; 4 for 5th; 3 for 6th; 2 for 7th and 1 for 8th. The drivers' points are as below:

Teams must have 2 cars or more to be eligible for points. Only the points of the top 2 drivers of each team for the entire season will be counted. If two teams have the same points at the end of the season, then the team with better positions in the races will win. If the results are still the same, then the team that wins earlier in the season will win.
