BETTER WAYS TO GO TO THE RACES

LAGUNA SECA RACEWAY, Monterey, California (August 7) -- Getting to the raceway is going to be even quicker and easier starting with the 25th Annual Monterey Historic Automobile Races presented by the Chrysler Corporation and featuring Porsche next weekend, August 14, 15, 16.

Laguna Seca race event tickets have been, for quite some time, tickets to ride on Monterey-Salinas Transit buses to the events free of charge. Now, in addition to regular buses that have stops at the track, there are also special express MST Race Buses.

On Saturday and Sunday of race weekends between 7am and 6pm, these express buses travel to Laguna Seca Raceway and back to locations in surrounding communities that have ample parking and are near hotels and motels. The drop-off/pick-up point at the track is close to the infield and Firestone bridge. Spectators are being encouraged to take a Race Bus to the Raceway. They run from and to:

For spectators driving to events, a new parking area called Lookout Ridge has been established in the vicinity of turns 9, 10 and 11. Spectators will get there without stopping for a ticket check or to purchase tickets. After parking they'
