Wednesday, 2 May 2007 - Six weeks after the successful opening round in Zhuhai, China,Scuderia Playteam Sarafree will return to battle at Silverstone in their Maseratis, determined to enjoy a competitive weekend.
Graziano Semiani Team Manager says: "The team is ready for the second round of the season this weekend at Silverstone. In China we recorded one of the fastest laps of the race and the Pirelli tires were performing very well all weekend. We were unlucky in the race, but that's motor racing and we're determined to make up for it this weekend at Silverstone.
Unfortunately our car stopped in China before we could serve the drive-through penalty, as our car nr 11's retired from the race shortly after the infraction was reported it was impossible for the stewards to impose any penalty. The penalty will be added onto our time at Silverstone which is a very tough break, but we'll work hard to overcome the disadvantage."
Scuderia Playteam SaraFree has always emphasised its strong social commitment through its Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The team has been appointed as a UNICEF Partner for 2007 and supports the UNICEF global campaign "Unite for children, Unite against AIDS".
In Silverstone again, the Team's cars and livery will show the global UNICEF campaign on its roof: "Unite for children, Unite against AIDS". The Scuderia Playteam SaraFree will contribute all season to raise funds to support the UNICEF campaign.
