GORING WINS AGAIN IN SEBRING DESPITE FEINBERG'S EFFORTS

SEBRING, Fla. March 14 -- Jonathan Goring held off a hard charging Joel Feinberg to take his second IMSA Lites presented by Hankook victory. Feinberg started third and worked hard to get up to second.

Downs held onto second until lap nine when Feinberg got a run on him coming out of turn 17 and made a clean pass going into turn one.

"The car ran much better today than yesterday," Feinberg said. "I kept catching up to him."

Ricky Taylor worked his way up to fourth place after starting last. "It was a lot of fun," a smiling Taylor said after the race. Josef Newgarden finished third.

Tom Drewer repeated his run yesterday in Lites Two finishing 13 seconds ahead of second place Alain Nadal. "It's fantastic to be here in America and in the IMSA Lites series," Drewer said. Alex Gonzalez finished third.

Tanner Baker had his first taste of victory in the IMSA Lites series taking the top spot in Lites Three. He got by Chris Funk and teammate Brian Schofield on the second lap.

"Chris made a move on Brian that didn't work out," Baker said. "I capitalized on their mistake. There was a lot of carnage out there. I just kept my nose clean."

Schofield finished second after loosing his brakes in round one on Thursday. Larry Lambert rounded out the top three in Lites Three. Results for Round Two remain provisional until technical inspection clears.

The next stop on the IMSA Lites presented by Hankook schedule is at Miller Motorsports Park in Salt Lake City, Utah May 17-18.

The IMSA Lites Championship was developed to support the American Le Mans Series, the premier prototype and GT endurance racing series in the world. The series features global race car constructors Elan Motorsport Technologies, West Race Cars and Van Diemen Motorsports.

IMSA Lites offers racers from around the world the opportunity to compete at historic racing venues like Sebring International Raceway, Road Atlanta and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Visit www.imsa-lites.com for more information.
