Road America: Moses Smith final practice summary

Moses laps Road America at over 107 mph recording fast lap at today's final practice.

After a disappointing race last week at Mid-Ohio, Moses was ready for some good news.

"We had been battling with over steer all that weekend" Smith explained. "I got caught trying to push it a bit too hard, trying to remain fourth, and the gravel trap in the Keyhole got me."

What with travel time, Moses and the R-Sport team did not have much time to check over and prep the race vehicle for this weekend's race at Road America. However, whatever they did must be working.

Moses ended the first practice session with the third fastest time. By the last practice of the day, Moses and R-Sport were able to knock a full second off his lap time.

"It amazes me how much Ron Roland of R-Sport can accomplish in such a short time. I was very pleased with my practice laps and the fact that we were able to make positive progress during each session".

Moses was the only driver, in the field of twenty-eight that last session, to break into the 107 miles per hour speed range and therewith recorded the fastest lap of the day.
