Karting loses New England enduro veteran
10.04.2010 - WKA sends its thoughts and prayers to the family of Bethany, Connecticut's Alan Peck, who passed away Friday after a brief illness. Peck was 56 years old.
Peck was a longtime and current member of WKA and a fixture at New Hampshire Motor Speedway's N.H. Kart Association (NHKA). He was a competitor in various laydown-enduro classes for many years. Peck's son, Greg, still races enduro-style karts and his late father, Bud, was also heavily involved in the family's karting efforts.
Peck was a self-employed electrical contractor and owner of Peck Electric. He was a lifelong resident of Bethany, Conn.
Calling hours are tonight (Monday) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, Conn.
WKA is greatly saddened by Alan's passing and the organization is proud to have him as one of its longest-running members.
