BUSCH: Kenseth on LMS Busch pole

Matt Kenseth earned the pole for Saturday night's Busch race at Lowe's Motor Speedway with a lap of 184.011 mph. It is Kenseth's second Busch pole of the season and third career pole at Charlotte.

"That was a great lap," said Kenseth. "It has been a lot of fun.we made some changes and it drove awesome. I can't wait for Saturday night."

Jamie McMurray was second quickest with a lap of 183.911 mph.

"Man, I thought we were going to get the pole," said McMurray. "We came pretty close. That was a great lap Matt put up - we just didn't quite have that much. But it's a great starting spot and I am pretty happy with that."

Kenny Wallace was third with a lap of 183.705, "Wow. What a great run for us. Man, I would have loved to have got the pole, but that is a great starting spot."

Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick complete the top five.

"We're happy with that," said Martin. "We have a good Busch car and a good Cup car; we are looking forward to having a good weekend."
